6 Days Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti and Lake Manyara Safari Tour
Overview
A 6 day Safari to provide unlimited wildlife encounters in the heart of the Northern Tanzania Circuit. You’ll see what Ngorongoro Crater (one of the world’s eight natural wonders), Serengeti National Park, Ndutu and Manyara National Parks have to offer. The safari is ideal for those safari goes seeking to explore the best of Tanzania with adequate time.
Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater
You will start off with lunch in Moshi/Arusha town, and thereafter drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Game drive en-route and upon arrival you will be at leisure exploring the pristine area, dinner and overnight in Either Karatu or Ngorongoro
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Experience
After breakfast, you will be driven into the Ngorongoro Crater for your early morning game drive. The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is the crater, a large unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. The crater formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago.
The crater is famous for the big 5 animals (Lion, Elephants, Rhino, Leopard, and Buffalo). Other animals you will see are Zebras, Gazelle, Wildebeest, Impalas, Hippos and different species of birds. Thereafter, drive to Serengeti National Park and proceed to the Lobo on the Northern part of Serengeti.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park Wildlife Experience
Enjoy morning game drives in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Return to your lodge/campsite for lunch before departing to the central part of Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Serengeti Safari – Ndutu Area
After breakfast, you will have another morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Then return to the lodge/campsite and enjoy your lunch. Shortly after, drive to Ndutu area on the border between Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Game view en route, and upon arrival you will stay at leisure, overnight at Ndutu
Day 5: Explore the Wildlife of Ndutu Area
Enjoy a morning game drive around Ndutu Area with lunch at the lodge. After lunch drive to Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned discoveries. Their findings include some of man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue with your tour and stop at Lake Manyara for leisure and dinner, overnight at Lake Manyara or Karatu
Day 5: Lake Manyara – Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will depart for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and a variety of birdlife. During the midday drive back to Arusha/Airport/Moshi.
